Thirty years of experience treating a variety of disorders (see disorders list). I am trained in many evidence based modalities; psychodynamic, attachment styles, and neuroscience. Neuroscience tells us how critical it is to pay attention to our feelings, physical sensations, and thoughts, which provides a more integrated mind. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavior Theory (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – Mindfulness and Emotion Regulation.

Treatment expertise for trauma; grief, childhood abuse, complex trauma, sexual and physical abuse, motor accidents, and estranged relationships. First treatment experience was in the 80’s working for the Sexual Assault Domestic Violence Center as Emergency Room Companion and Advocate, and Spokesperson for the agency.
Treatment modalities vary depending on PTSD symptoms, dissociation, and other factors. Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Emotion-Focused, DBT, and other treatments available.
